Community Law Day

The New York City chapter of the National Conference of Black Lawyers engages in activities of information for the community. The NBCL sponsors programs addressing police violence. NBCL members are also involved with working to gain freedom for political prisoners in the United States and obtaining reparations fro the African enslavement in the United States.

125th Street Rezoning NYC Council Hearings Part 1

The passing of the "River to River" rezoning of 125th St. will drastically and permanently alter the character of Harlem’s main commercial street. It will also drive out more Black residents. Harlem Tenants Council executive Director Nellie Hester Bailey has voiced opposition at the New York City Council public hearing.
